Open a PowerPoint deck without Office installed
ChristChant reads .pptx files itself — text, shapes and layout — with no Microsoft Office on the machine and no internet connection.
Last checked
A booth machine usually does not have an Office licence, and the sermon deck usually arrives as a .pptx. ChristChant unpacks the file and reads its XML directly, so the import does not depend on Office being present.
- In your service, choose Import and pick the .pptx.
- Each slide comes in as a ChristChant slide with its text and shapes intact.
- Edit anything that needs it in the slide editor — the import is a starting point, not a locked image.
- Reorder or delete slides the way you would any others.
What comes across
- Text content and its position on the slide.
- Shapes and their layout.
- Slide order.
Complex PowerPoint animations and embedded macros do not come across. Rebuild motion in the slide editor, which has its own transitions and effects.
